Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lore Technologies Private Limited ("Lore", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Lore mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time, and the most current version will always be available at lore.app/terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

To use Lore, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under any applicable law
• Not have been previously banned or removed from Lore for violating these Terms
• Not be a registered sex offender in any jurisdiction

By using Lore, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time and to terminate accounts if eligibility cannot be verified.

3.1 Account Creation

You may only maintain one account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account with anyone else or transfer it to another person.

3.2 Profile Accuracy

You agree that all information in your profile is accurate, current, and complete. You must not impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity, age, affiliation, or connection to any person. Profile photos must be of you and must be recent.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activities or actions under your account. Notify us immediately at support@mylore.in if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and our Community Guidelines. You must not:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or intimidate any person
• Post content that is hateful, violent, sexually explicit, or promotes illegal activity
• Impersonate another person or create false identities
• Solicit money, promote commercial products, or engage in spam
• Use the Service for prostitution, escort services, or human trafficking
• Post another person's private information without their consent
• Upload viruses, malware, or any harmful code
• Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or automated tools to access the Service or extract data
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service while under the age of 18
• Create multiple accounts or a new account after being banned

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal of your account without notice or refund.

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you post or upload to Lore ("Your Content"), including photos, voice introductions, vibe uploads, text, and messages. By posting content, you grant Lore a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, store, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service.

This licence ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where Your Content has been shared with others and they have not deleted it, or where retention is required by law.

5.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to post it, and that it does not violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

5.3 Our Content

The Service, including its design, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, software, AI models, and algorithms ("Our Content") is owned by Lore and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of Our Content without our written permission.

5.4 Content Moderation

We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to monitor, review, and remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We may use automated systems and human moderators to review content and accounts.

Lore uses artificial intelligence to power vibe matching, compatibility scoring, and content recommendations. By using these features:

• You consent to automated processing of your voice introductions, profile content, and interactions for the purpose of generating compatibility signals
• You understand that AI-generated matches are recommendations, not guarantees of compatibility or safety
• You acknowledge that AI systems may occasionally produce unexpected results and Lore is not liable for AI-driven recommendations
• You may request human review of automated decisions by contacting support

7.1 Free and Premium Tiers

Lore offers a free tier with core features and optional paid subscription plans that unlock enhanced features. Pricing and features of each plan are described in the app.

7.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (weekly, monthly, or annually, depending on your chosen plan) through your app store account (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). By subscribing, you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to premium features until then. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods.

7.4 Refunds

Refund policies are governed by the respective app store (Apple or Google). If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact the relevant app store. For billing disputes, contact support@mylore.in.

7.5 Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect. Continued subscription after the price change constitutes acceptance.

Lore is not responsible for the conduct of any member on or off the Service. You agree to:

• Exercise caution and common sense when communicating with other members
• Meet in public places for initial in-person meetings
• Tell a trusted person about your plans when meeting someone
• Never send money to someone you have not met in person
• Report suspicious or harmful behaviour immediately

Lore does not conduct criminal background checks on members. We strongly recommend you independently verify any person before meeting in person.

9.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app (Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account). Your data will be processed for deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or any applicable law, or if your actions may harm other members or Lore.

9.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You will lose access to your matches, messages, and profile content. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution).

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Any match or connection will lead to a safe or successful outcome
• Other members' profiles or representations are accurate or truthful
• AI-generated compatibility signals will accurately predict real-world compatibility
• Any defects will be corrected

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LORE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR INR 5,000 (OR LOCAL EQUIVALENT), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lore and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

If you have a dispute with Lore, we encourage you to first contact us at support@mylore.in so we can attempt to resolve it informally.

If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the relevant arbitration body in the jurisdiction applicable to you. Class action lawsuits and class-wide arbitrations are not permitted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India for users based in India, and by the laws of the relevant jurisdiction for international users, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

14.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any supplementary terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lore regarding the Service.

14.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

14.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

14.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
